Dear Local 145 Members, Brother Arsenio “RC” Ortanez was recently admitted to UCSD Thorton Hospital for cancer treatment. While all cancer is bad, RC’s doctor is confident that the tumor will be highly responsive to radiation treatment. Due to RC’s previous battle with cancer, he has exhausted the medical leave benefit provided for job-related injury or illness. Coming up is the 35th Annual UCP Firefighters and Friends Celebrity Waiters Luncheon. This luncheon takes place Friday September 21st at the Coronado Island Marriott. We are looking for 15 firefighters to "wait tables" along with other celebrities. Complimentary SDSU Tickets

Local 145 has some complimentary tickets to the SDSU vs ASU football game on September 15th at 7:30 pm. It is also First Responder Night at the game. You can pick up a maximum of 4 per person at the Local. Our office hours are 8 to 5 but closed for lunch between 11 and 12.
