With the support of Local 145, MDA has been able to uncover groundbreaking developments so that adults and kids can maintain muscle strength and slow muscle decline. Our MDA San Diego families can visit one of two MDA Care Clinics, located at UC San Diego or Rady Children’s Hospital. Through the generosity of Local 145’s annual fill-the-boot drives, sponsorship and participation in local events such as the Chili Cook-off /Tailgate, MDA families have received the benefits from research and treatment advances, healthcare, local and national support programs, camp, medical equipment resources among other beneficial programs. The fire fighters of Local 145 continue to be heroes to the families in San Diego that MDA serves.
